Tempted is my first book by Megan Hart and certainly not the last. I received Naked for review from Harlequin and borrowed Tempted from the library. I must say, WOW WOW WOW, what a fantastic fast paced book. Ms Hart has a fabulous prose and the premise, OMGoodnessssss, ALEX! Phew **fans face**. I was captivated and couldn’t read fast enough to find out what happened between this fantastic triangle.

James and Anne Kinney have been married for a while, but James has never really spoken of his supposed best friend since childhood, Alex Kennedy. Alex is coming to visit and staying at their house. Anne doesn’t know what to think and everyone is a little awkward at the beginning. Anne believed that James and Alex had a falling out in college and nobody is willing to talk about it.

James and Alex are behaving as if they are back in high school, drinking, smoking, playing games and Anne feels a little left out. Alex is strutting around the house while James is at work and is tempting Anne on purpose. Alex is one super-hot stud and knows he is irresistible.

James notices the looks between Anne and Alex and slyly suggests that they all get together and have some fun. Anne is horrified of the idea at first, how could James really suggest such a thing, is he not happy with their intimacy? But the more Anne thinks about it and fantasises about Alex and touching his magnificent body, the more the idea is exciting her.

They were all out drinking and with everybody relaxed, the shenanigans began. Alex and James have made rules, but Anne was never included in the compiling of these rules. The more time Anne spends with Alex the more she starts to understand the man behind the tough exterior, Alex has secrets and had a difficult upbringing, but this only adds the mystery of Alex Kennedy.

Who will Anne choose in the end, her husband or the man her husband wanted included in their marriage? Why would James even suggest Alex? What is Alex’s history, is he into guys or gals? Does he love James or vice versa?

Tempted was a swooning, heart pumping, hot and intense love triangle that could really have gone either way. There seemed to be love all round and with the hotness of Alex and something new, poor Anne couldn’t have foreseen what would happen. I cried and had heart palpitations throughout reading Tempted and highly recommend this book to all adult readers that like the hot and sweaty romances.
